Puppies and kittens can start getting pregnant at 5ish months old. DO NOT WAIT TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AS THE SLOTS FILL UP QUICKLY AND OFTEN WAIT TIME IS 1-4 MONTHS OUT! OAR is often 1 month out. UCAN is often more than 4 months out. It can be frustrating if you are trying to get a low cost offer and you wait until the pet is 5 months old!!!!!!!!

OAR has 3 programs hence I have 3 boxes for OAR. You can make an appointment and bring YOUR PET CAT IN A CARRIER (hard case preferred). Verify with OAR but their cost as of 7/12/26 is $35 for the spay/neuter, Rabies and FVRCP shots! Go to their website and make your appointments or call them.
You should also call your local COUNTY animal shelter as many now have their own spay/neuter programs. The county shelter may have some additional suggestions.

OAR's 2nd program is you bring a CAT IN A TRAP on certain days and times without an appointment. But, get there on the early time as they often fill up (OAR has a button that tells you how to trap). Verify with OAR but their costs for a stray or feral cat IN A TRAP runs from FREE-$75. Call them and look at their website for TNR information.

OAR's 3rd program is called Neuterville Express. It is a free shuttle van for cats. It picks up cats for spay/neuter and returns them the next day. This is for strays or pet cats in hard case carriers or for feral cats in a trap. Costs range from Free-$75 depending on grants. Go to their website and make a NEUTERVILLE APPT or CALL THEM
